The Aqua Valve allows waste materials to pass into the filter, but prevent them from dumping back into the aquarium. Therefore, unlike almost every filter on the market, the Interpet Power Filter range allows the consumer to simply turn the filter off, and remove the body for cleaning, without seeing the entire removed waste drop back into their clean aquarium.
PowerFilters 1, 2, 3 & 4 also include a highly effective venturi. This has been designed to ensure it works even when the foams are partially blocked.
All the Interpet Powerfilters are extremely easy to locate back into their aquarium cradles, even when the keeper can not see the location point.
The Power Filter Mini is an ideal filter for small aquariums. With 2 foams for mechanical and biological filtration, and a separate carbon foam, the PowerFilter Mini is extremely simple to install and maintain.
The 200lph flow rate is ideal for aquariums up to 40 litres. The PF Mini has been designed to give trouble-free service, has a flow deflector and a 2 year quarantee.
The Power Filter PF1 is far more comprehensive, and includes a foam carrier, flow control, head rotation, venturi and Interpet's unique, patented Aqua Valve.
For filter media, the PF1 contains a plain foam and a carbon foam. An optional fine felt pad is available to polish the water.
Power Filters 2, 3 & 4 offer all the features of the PF1. In addition they have a separate Biomedia chamber. This is housed in the head unit and contains Biomedia. The huge surface area of this media provides superior biological filtration. Additionally it allows the filter foams to be cleaned more thoroughly, as doing so will not affect the biological effectiveness of the filter.
